Before video became mainstream on the Internet Metroshot Ventures was blazing a trail in this new frontier. Cashak Style, originally produced as CASHAK.TV, was built from the ground up to be a leading source of fashion, style and trend news.

During these early days of online video there was a lack of inexpensive video streaming platforms available. Metroshot Ventures created a custom content management system with video streaming capabilities. The team optimized a performance tuned streaming server. With bandwidth still restrained at the time, the show utilized low level encoding tools to squeeze every ounce of performance from the platform. Users viewed the Cashak Style videos through a custom built Flash-based player.

Cashak Style videos were produced in-house at Metroshot Studios. Animated graphics and original soundtracks were also created for the show.



The industry’s top fashion designers were featured on Cashak Style. BCBGMAXAZRIA, Michael Kors, DKNY, Betsey Johnson, Zac Posen, Madgley Mischka, Rebecca Taylor, Herve Leger, Diesel, Chanel, Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan and many more were showcased. Cashak Style hosts reported on the styles and trends in the designers’ latest collections. Many of the designers were interviewed by the show.



Cashak Style traveled to some of the world’s fashion capitals to cover the latest fashion trends. The show reported from Mercedes-Benz Los Angeles Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios, and the MAGIC show in Las Vegas to Phoenix Fashion Week  in its home market. Cashak Style won status as the Official Video Partner of Phoenix Fashion Week for multiple years. The show produced an extensive documentary detailing how Phoenix Fashion Week was produced in 2007. It was titled “How Phoenix Builds a Fashion Week”. The show also reported on New York Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week and London Fashion Week.

Beyond fashion trends, Cashak Style was invited to attend the Tony & Guy/TIGI World Release hair show in Las Vegas. The reporting team detailed the latest hair styles and trends from one of the biggest brands in the industry.



In March of 2007 Cashak Style pioneered the fashion video editorial. It featured model Addreane Tellez with fashions by Pink Polka Dot and Gypsy 05. Ms. Tellez and the styles were filmed on location at the Mill Avenue Bridge in Tempe, Arizona. The footage, editing and soundtrack were produced by Metroshot Studios. The show’s  first fashion video editorial broadcast on its website and syndicated through partner networks. An archived version of this video is available on YouTube.



Cashak Style was an early adopter of social media utilizing MySpace then Twitter and Facebook to connect with its audience.



Cision vetted the website and it appeared in their prestigious media database.



Cashak Style was an approved marketing affiliate for Macy’s.



Cashak Style’s named was an extension of the Cashak brand used for Chris Cashak and CASHAK Magazine. The show’s logo was derived from the established Cashak logo.



Cashak Style was viewed in 215 countries(Source: Google Analytics) around the world on its website. Organic search for the site reached more than 124,000 keyword phrases(Source: Google Analytics). Through distribution partners, the show reached even more fashion fanatics. The top syndicated video on Mevio was viewed more than 1.1 million times. Major video advertising networks like Tremor Media partnered with the website.



Metroshot Ventures commands the ability to build a large media publication from the ground up, then scale to global reach. The company also proved its ability to execute in the hyper competitive fashion space.
